Borgo Vecchio’s master distiller personally chose the blend, bringing together pomace from Italian red and white grapes, distilled in a bain-marie still following the Trentino tradition. The grappa rests for four certified years in French oak under tax seal, then finishes in casks that once held Port, picking up the notes of the fortified wine.
In the glass it is amber, with an elegant, slightly sweet nose, turning soft and rounded on the palate with hints of almond and marasca cherry. Serve it at 16–18 °C in a tulip glass, letting it breathe for a few minutes: perfect after a meal, it shows its best as a conversation grappa.
