For this Gran Riserva, master distiller Valerio Cavalin selected a blend of Borgo Vecchio Grappa Barrique, made from red-grape Trentino pomace distilled in a bain-marie still following the Trentino tradition. From 2004 the grappa rested for around ten years in French Limousin oak barriques before being bottled.

The colour is intense yet delicate, and the nose opens gently before giving way to a firm, herbaceous base, while on the palate it is bold and distinctive, with hints of vanilla. Serve it at 16–18 °C in a tulip glass, letting it breathe for a few minutes: excellent after a meal, it is more and more appreciated as a conversation grappa.
